The festival’s first-ever drive-thru-only Gourmet Alley was a smashing success, selling out every weekend. Fans drove from as far away as San Diego County just to get a taste of our famous Garlic Festival food, from juicy pepper steak sandwiches to succulent scampi, world-renowned garlic bread, and much more. Drivers were also treated to our famous Gourmet Alley flame-up and BBQ while they waited for their food to be delivered to their cars. The drive-thru was held on the weekends of
July 23-25 and July 30-August 1, at Gilroy Presbyterian Church at
6000 Miller Ave. in Gilroy.
The Farm-to-Table Dinner on July 24th at Fortino’s Winery was a huge success, also selling out. The dinner brought the freshness of fields, orchards, and artisanal foods directly to diners’ tables, as well as serving delicious wines from Fortino’s, in an elegant and picturesque setting at the winery.
Like the Gourmet Alley Drive-Thru and Farm-to-Table Dinner, the first Garlic Festival Golf Classic, held July 30th at Gilroy Golf Course, was sold out, making the 2021 Garlic Festival, despite all the challenges and obstacles, an unqualified success.
People embraced the 2021 Gilroy Garlic Festival wholeheartedly, so we are happy and grateful that we were able to bring it back in some format this year. Thank you for your ongoing support and we’ll see you in 2022!
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and provide benefits to local worthy charities and non-profit groups by promoting the community of Gilroy through a quality celebration of garlic.
