GILROY, Calif., — Established to provide benefits to local charities and nonprofits while promoting the city of Gilroy and the bulb that made it famous, the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association has announced 2023 payouts totaling $65,000.
That amount exceeds last year’s donations by $25,000. GFA president Cindy Fellows and her team will host an awards ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Gilroy Presbyterian Church to hand out the checks.
Connecting the community through smaller events, educational activities, and giving opportunities, the association still places a focus on making Gilroy a more caring, economically sound, and connected place to live, work, and play.
